765 Intermediate Center Secretary

POSITION TITLE:   Secretary to the Principal (unit position)

SALARY RANGE:    $14.25-$16.00/hr.

CONTRACT LENGTH:   Eleven (11) Months

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs all secretarial and bookkeeping duties for an intermediate center under the direction of the building principal.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Building Principal

DUTIES:

Must type accurately with ability to spell correctly and use proper grammar. Will have computer skills (Macintosh and AS400); word processing skills; must know bookkeeping skills, public relation skills, filing, office management and treasurer skills, good organizational skills, and ability to work steadily with many distractions and sometimes in stressful situations. Must be flexible and a self-starter. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent with two years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience or related training; knowledge of standard office procedures; ability to learn SBCSC policies and procedures. Working knowledge of AS400 system. Skills test may be required
