118 Title I Parochial Teacher

POSITION TITLE:                          Non-Public Title I Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY:             

Ability to work with a diverse population. Provide curriculum and instruction in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program and the Indiana Academic Standards.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:     Building Principal, Director of Title I


  • License and Highly Qualified.
  • Considerations as determined by the administration specific to the position.
  • At least five years experience as a teacher.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in providing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of struggling students. 
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in using formative assessments to guide reading instruction. 
  • Applicant must not have had a recommendation for a Performance Improvement Plan on their most recent evaluation. 
  • Experience dealing with families and students from a diverse range of economic, social and ethnic backgrounds. 
  • Must have teaching experience with developing and implementing lesson plans, classroom activities, and classroom management.
  • Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies, methodology, and materials for students receiving special education services.
  • Must have experience in analyzing student’s formative and summative data and differentiating classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs. 
  • Must have experience collaborating with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school.
  • Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students’ education. 
  • Experience with urban education setting 
  • Actively participate in professional development activities, work closely with coaches, Administration, district level curriculum department, special education support team.
  • Use of technology within instruction.
  • Knowledge and use of 8 Step Process.
  • Experience in use of Power School and Learning Connection.
