128 Coordinator of Virtual Std & Prof Lrng-Secondary
Position Title:           Coordinator of Virtual Student and Professional Learning
Salary Range:           $59,500-$65,000 (CARES Act Funded)
Contract Length:      July 1 - June 30
Supervisor:               Chief Academic Officer/ Director of Student Learning
Basic Function: 
Plan, organize, control, and direct operations and activities involved in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all virtual and eLearning for adult and student development and learning.  The coordinator will oversee processing, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of assessment data in the evaluation of the educational effectiveness of virtual educational programs, operations, and instructional activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  1. Support the implementation of effective virtual learning wrap-around school and curricular modules to support students who are unable to attend the traditional school setting.
  2. Collaborate with principal and district supports to identify the professional learning needs of educators through effective data analysis and aligned to district initiatives and goals.
  3. Provide support and professional learning on effective virtual and online instructional and engagement strategies
  4. Develop, plan, lead, and evaluate the development of a professional learning catalogue that supports the strategic plan of the board and goals of the superintendent.
  5. Coach, implement, and provide effective professional learning and support for district departments to support enhancing the effectiveness of professional learning offered.
  6. Support professional learning facilitators with the development of online and virtual learning platforms
  7. Collaborate with the digital integration specialist and principal to support the seamless integration of technology into virtual classroom practice and student learning.
  8. Recommend and coordinate with the DSL and Chief Academic Officer the purchase of specific virtual learning curriculum and platform
  1. Perform other duties as directed by the DSL in charge of professional learning.


Incumbent must hold a valid certification in elementary education, secondary content area, or other Indiana teaching licensure. Strong knowledge base of online and virtual curricular platforms for both students and adults. Possess strong planning, listening, organizational, supervisory, analytical, problem-solving, computer, accountability, multi-tasking, flexibility, resourcefulness, and oral and written communications skills. Incumbent must possess knowledge of the comprehensive organization, operations, policies and objectives of assigned department or area.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's Degree with a focus on curriculum, and or educational technology, as well as certification in grades K-12.

 Physical Demands:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other technologies and office equipment, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; kneeling; bending at the waist; lifting; pushing; pulling and carrying equipment, supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds; repetitive hand movement and fine coordination to use a computer keyboard; emotional stability to work effectively under pressure and to keep all aspects of the job under control; hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone; seeing to read; prepare and assure the accuracy of documents.
