SALARY RANGE:                                  

$25.00 per hour

CONTRACT LENGTH:                          

Mandatory Training Session (onsite) June 4, 8:00am - 12:00pm

Hourly stipend provided.

Summer School Program: June 7th through July 9th 2021

8:00am to 4:00pm Monday - Friday (7.5 hour work day - paid, 30 minute duty free lunch - unpaid)

July 5th no school

POSITION SUMMARY:         

The Migrant Summer Program health aide assumes major responsibility for planning and directing health services within the building during the Summer Migrant Program.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Certified/licensed as Health Care Professional. Previous experience in health services is required.
  • Prior Summer School experience preferred
  • Follows SBCSC policies and procedures
  • Mature and professional judgment in dealing with students and adults

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Distributes medications to students with properly documented health needs
  • Provides health care to students and staff
  • Keeps emergency and/or medical information for students and staff
  • Oversees procedures in case of health emergencies, incident reports, and contacts parents in case of a student’s illness

SPECIAL NOTATION: The position requires that staff must be present throughout the duration of the entire Summer Migrant Program. Vacations must be taken prior to the start date of June 7th, 2021 and after July 9th, 2021. The position also requires flexible scheduling of work responsibilities.
